MCRC has organized a five days technology awareness programme for members of women self-help groups functioning in and around Vadakadambadi village, Kancheepuram district. This programme was sponsored by "TAMILNADU STATE COUNCIL FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY"

The main aim of the programme was to popularise Science & Technology interventions for utilization of locally available cellulosic materials for production of Eco-friendly handmade paper products, Charcoal briquetting, Organic manures and Micro propagation of medicinal plants for income generation. This programme organized for 100 women SHG members and held at TRC-Training Centre, Vadakadambadi during the 4th - 8th, June 2009.
