“MEET THE SCIENTIST PROGRAMME” students of DNA Club from Puducherry & Karaikkal held on 08.01.2009 (9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.) as part of the project titled “Setting-up of Natural resources Awareness Clubs for School Children” sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT). Twenty five School children and ten science teachers from Puducherry & Karaikkal had participated in the programme.

The main aim of this programme was to sensitize the importance of biotechnological interventions in management and conservation of biological resource and also to stimulate scientific and technological temper among the teachers and children.

Scientists interacted with school children and coordinators and also engage them in the hands-on-training activities on various analytical techniques. This programme was mainly arranged to encourage children to learn natural curiosity, creativity and scientific temper.
